Flirting at work!

My company has devised an ingenuous way of allowing employees to communicate in real time in a way similar to MSN. This is highly convenient since sometimes it's better to talk shop over the network than on the phone when your colleagues are in another country.

The obvious disadvantage to setting up such a system, of course, is that 99% of your employees will use said software to exchange catty piffle about other co-workers, flirt with other co-workers and generally waste valuable company time.

There's one girl who sits near me: she's only 21 and she has a six-year-old daughter (yeah, you do the math.... a teenage mum!) who's constantly on the company network yakking away to people. I'm convinced she's flirting, the little hoor, 'cause she giggles and waggles her leg at her desk whilst reading someone's response, as though she were simpering to that guy in person at the bar.

Now I'm no angel when it comes to wasting valuable company time. But for God's sakes girls, if you are going to flirt, do so quietly! It's bloody obvious that you're looking to score on company time if you giggle like morons behind your terminals.

Looks like MSN has replaced the water cooler, the photocopier and the stationery closet. ;-)
